Uprated struts to replace your tired originals or for use with a Fiamma Carry-Bike rack

With these struts fitted the tailgate will stay open with a Bike rack fitted

This listing is for one strut but we recommend replacing both sides as this will give the maximum life from your new struts

We have tested these struts with two XC mountain bikes fitted to the rack and the tailgate works perfectly

These struts have 686mm fixing centres

These struts are designed and manufactured in the UK and have a two-year warranty

They are not covered by :

• Damage caused by failing to follow the installation instructions provided
• Damage caused by failing to follow the adjustment instructions provided (Adjustable Gas struts only)
• Damage caused by tooling or marking the piston rod in any way
• Damage caused by neglecting to keep the strut away from moisture, dirt and dust
• Damage caused by lubricating / greasing / oiling a strut (unless specifically instructed to by us)
• Damage caused by failing to equally distribute weight between struts
• Damage caused by failing to screw end fixings all the way in
• Damage caused by gripping, scratching, chipping, bending, wetting, soiling or painting the gas strut
• Damage caused by cycling a strut more than 5 times per minute
• Damage caused by over-extending or over-compressing a gas strut
• Gas struts must be replaced or installed as a pair to prevent voiding of the warranty – this is because the force between a pair of struts must be kept equal to prevent side loading and premature failure of the gas strut

Some vehicles from 1992 have struts with 570mm centres, these are available to order

These struts have 690mm fixing centres, if you have a 1992/3 VW T4 you may need a shorter version
